the USA problem seems — -to me anyway — -very simple and easy to analyse

Europe was always a loose group of warring states — -fighting over resources basically

then America opened up in the 18th/19th c — -and the tribes of Europe moved there.

there was plenty for everyone

unfortunately, there is no longer plenty for everyone, but the the people who used to be European still retain the European psyche, the eternal struggle for pieces of a shrinking pie kicking off once again.

people are grabbing what they can for themselves, and just like Europe in past times, vast swathes of people are sinking into abject poverty because resources are no longer there to prevent it.
