Mission to Mars
All explorers go for loot
but with nothing there it’s pointless
no animals for fur to shoot
or stuff to be exploited
no air to breathe or water
no profits to be made
no shade or friendly shelter
and no natives to enslave
hardly worth the trouble
considering the cost
when all around are problems
that here need fixing first
the Earth we’re busy stripping
nature so to tame
humankind will visit there
and expect to do the same
