fascism is a population in a state of desperation

while the American Dream’’ appeared to be a functioning entity, the shenanigans of politicians didn’t matter very much. Most people had the three factors critical to a stable political environment — -a home, a job and a full stomach. This lasted from1945 to 1970.

With those three things firmly established, you can’t have revolutions. Or much political disturbance. Remove them and a form of political extremism is certain because desperation kicks in. A loony leader arises, promising to “Make the country great again”

After 1970 the USA began the slide into oil deficit (with denial) and the oilwars that drained the American Dream away into the dust.

That draining away was imperceptible at first — -but it became relentless, so that now we find ourselves in the current (world wide) state of economic collapse. (We all wanted the American Dream)

Blame for this misfortune must be established — -Jews, Muslims, Mexicans — -anything but the truth: That the current economic system is unsustainable. But few can accept that, it is always a conspiracy.

Fascism by any name you care to call it is what the people demand, and the leader will deliver it in order to put things ‘right’.

The fascist leader gathers sycophants around him and gets rid of naysayers.
(check your history books on that one)

Human rights are a hindrance to his grand plan, everyone agrees on that. The “grand Plan” must be good for ‘’me’’.

And for a time it might work of course, but eventually fascism itself must fail and collapse because ultimately it is a ponzi scheme
